Drum Circle Music™
Facilitator Training and Certification

DCM is an approach to facilitating interactive music-based experiences. It is used by Music Educators, Music Therapists, Community Music Facilitators, and other Professional Development Specialists to energize, uplift, inspire and unite children, adults and special populations.

The World Rhythms! Arts Program (WRAP)
Gateway to Authentic World Music Traditions

West African Drum & Dance

This exciting new curriculum combines traditional drumming, dance, songs, and culture from Guinea, West AFrica, into an enriching educational experience for students of all ages (upper Elementary and older).

Written by Master Drummer and West African Drumming Specialit, Ryan M. Camara and designed by Kalani, this program provides all the best information and skills to allow you to teach jembe and associated instruments with confidence. Learn two complete rhythm arrangements, including jembe, dundun, percussion, and xylophone patterns. Sing traditional songs and perform authentic dances taught by Master dancer, Marietou Camara. The Drum Course
- A Road Map for World Drumming and Music

The Drum Course will help anyone play, use and teach percussion instruments with skill and confidence. The Drum Course offers everything from basic skills to complete music and dance experiences. This beginner-friendly program incorporates a step-by-step process of learning and applying the building blocks of rhythm, drumming skills, traditional music, and teaching process. Designed specifically for Music Professionals and available as a stand-alone curriculum, or as part of other Professional Development Courses.

The Drum Course Curriculum includes:

A Guide to Rhythm 
- Body percussion, Vocal grooves, Feeling rhythms from your head to your feet. meter, tempo, phrasing, dynamics, polyrhythms and timing.

World Percussion Overview 
- Learn the names, origins and traditional uses of over 40 instruments from the Caribbean, Brazil, Central America, West Africa, Bali, China, Japan, North (Native) America, Spain, Ireland, the Middle East, Hawaii, and more.

Core Drumming Techniques 
- Traditional, alternative, and adaptive techniques for Congas, Bongos, Jembe, Doumbek, Frame Drum, and commonly used percussion instruments.

Rhythms of the World 
- Learn popular rhythm patterns for many instruments, the combine instruments to form traditional music ensembles. Mix and match during evening drum circles and jams.

Sing and Move 
- Complete your education with spirited songs and dances. Enjoy creating community by combining drumming with traditional songs and dances. Add parts for Orff instruments, guitar, piano, recorder, Native American-style flute, and ukulele.
